Source: Finance Ministry | Announced 25 Mar 2026

 Peninsular Malaysia Retail Prices

Here's the full breakdown based on the Finance Ministry's announcement on 25 March 2026 thestar:

Three fuels went up, two stayed flat:

  • RON97 petrol rises by 60 sen to RM5.15 per litre thestar
  • Unsubsidised RON95 petrol also increases by 60 sen, to RM3.87 per litre thestar
  • Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia jumps the most — up 80 sen to RM5.52 per litre thestar
  • Subsidised RON95 under the Budi95 initiative remains at RM1.99 per litre thestar
  • Diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan stay unchanged at RM2.15 per litre thestar
The sharpest hit is diesel on the Peninsula — an 80 sen jump in one week is significant for businesses, logistics, and hawker trade. The government says it will continue monitoring global crude oil price trends and take measures to protect the welfare of the people. thestar
